Cadrielism is a polytheistic religion based on the (eternal) life and teachings of Cadriel, who is the main focal point for the religion. It is Esradons largest religion, with over 600 million followers, known as Cadrielists. Cadrielists believe that Cadriel is the creator of the world and the saviour of mankind.

Cadrielistic theology is summarized in creeds such as the Archaic Creed and Mallian Creed. These professions of faith state that Cadriel created the universe, mankind and everything else in order to create an everlasting cycle of life. Further, those creeds maintain His bodily presence in the heavenly palace of Æternalis where he reigns with his Arch Angels, followed by the angelic hosts. The Holy Scripture of Cadrielism, referred to as Lexica Cadrielus, includes also several written accounts of Cadriels presence at Æonis, which are considered as canonical.

Furthermore, it is the state religion of the biggest esradonian state, the Empire of Castaire, aswell as of its neighbouring realm Cantoras. With the beginning of the Age of Discovery and the following discovery of the new world, many settlers with cadrielistic faith founded colonies there and spread the word of Cadriel further around the world.

Cadriel, the supreme lord of all being, is the creator of the universe in general and Æonis in special. He is often referred to as the Heavenly Prince (cant.), Prince Célestiel (cast.) or Himmelsfürst (reik.). His visit on Æonis in early times created the habitus of worshipping Him as supreme being and protector of mankind. The spot where His journey began, an island called Eternia in the ... sea, was transformed into a site of worship, featuring immense buildings trying to mirror the splendour and pomp of the heavenly palace of Æternalis.

Nocturiel was created by Cadriel as proxy and Guardian of the Night, given a spark of godly omnipotence and especially free will. His view of His masters creation deemed mankind being weak and not worthy to exist, so He stole the staff of Cadriel to channel enough power to spoil and eventually annihilate the life of Æonis. Though the theft of His staff sent Cadriel into a comatose sleep within which He lies until this very day.

Angelic Host

The angels were created by Cadriel to assist Him in the creation of an everlasting cycle of life. Many of them got special tasks or areas of profound knowledge.

She is the Archangel of Life and Light and serves as representative of Cadriel Himself. She was the first angel to be created by Cadriel.

He is the Archangel of Death and Shadows and serves as representative of Nocturiel Himself, though he is loyal to Cadriel, whom created him as the second angel.

She was the third angel to be created. Her patronage of the elven race is based on her creation of it. Thus the elves are the oldest inhabitants of Æonis.

The fourth angel, Elemiah, created the dwarven race deep in the undergrounds of Æonis.

The fifth angel, Renéael, created the villager race in the wide plains of the overworld.

The sixth angel, Archon, created the human race on behalf of Cadriel and is thus their patron. Many of Æonis' religions feature Him as the only deity, ignoring the existence of his fellow angels.

The seventh angel, Venerion, was created to support Ærielle. He is lord of the element of air.

The eigth angel, Harahel, supports Elemiah and the dwarven race and is thus the angel of earth.

The ninth angel, Fleuvielle, is the lady of water and helps Renéael and his creation.

The tenth angel, Ardenielle, was given the power of fire and supports Archon and mankind.

On Cadriel's landing island (Eternia), a temple complex was built for him and the other angels to honour them. The island is surrounded by a protective spell that protects the heavenly presence from anyone who is considered unworthy. Only the purest and most learned people are allowed to enter. Anyone who is able to trespass the shield has passed the highest possible test and is henceforth considered sacred. This manifests in a glowing halo above the head of said person. This remains until the death of the person or until they deviate from the one true path. Whenever one is considered worthy of the title of saint in the parish, he participates in the ceremonial passage to the island, which takes place four times a year. Some saints also stay for a so-called sabbath year on the island to maintain the temple complex. In history, there were only 7 people outside the church councils that were considered worthy.

Sacred Councils

The persons in question are deployed in the service of the sacred councils around the world, as the highest authority of Cadrielism on Æonis. These people have the task to pass on their knowledge and virtues and should remain neutral. A direct interference in politics for the benefit of some states is not tolerated and has been punished in the past by withdrawal of holiness. The destiny of Æonis should not be influenced by the angels. At the end of each year, the angel at the center of the temple leaves and its place is occupied by another angle, following a specific cycle, except Cadriel and Nocturiel. On this date, all the saints will travel to the island to welcome the angel of the coming year and ask him about his plans. They then spread his message in the world.

Holy Centers

There are several centers of scholarship in the world, relatively located around Eternia, with the center furthest away from it in (... Asia ...). Through the only possible contact with the angels on this island, these centers are quite localized and in order to bring the teachings to the whole world, messengers have to carry the news on. Besides that, not every country can provide enough saints for advice, much less can even finance a religious center, many countries send their saints to the nearest centers in other countries. Since the sacred councils should remain politically neutral anyway, this is generally classified as not problematic. However, each country benefits from such a center in terms of enormous prestige. However, it must also provide for the premises, supply and provision of various institutions. Some of the oldest centers in the world are the center in Aallev in Norvikania, Altari in Ventalicci, Avalon in Cantoras and in (... Juntahalo ...) in Escaloña. With the general population growth in the world, a few more have been built in recent years, as well as the center in Lucrécy in Castaire or in Hohenherz in Prussia and the extensive renovation of the Centro de Santojunta del (... Belrida ... -Name for our Iberia) in (... Juntahalo ...).
