The Empire of Rothenia is the largest Esradonian territory and major Esradonian power. The empire is, in fact, so large, it is classified as both an Esradonian and Orentian nation, which makes it a very unique nation. The Imperial Council of Rothenia believes that Rothenia doesn't really need any overseas territories due to the vastness of the Empire. Therefore, Rothenia doesn't have a significant number of overseas territories, unlike other major Esradonian powers.

As of Neigouze 1757, there are 25.89 million people living within the metropolitan area of Rothenia, which spans a combined area of 23,457,168 km2. Rothenia is an absolute monarchy with its capital being Heliograd, which is the epitome of Rothenian Westernization. Heliograd also serves as the empire's largest cultural and commercial center. Other major urban centers include Magninnovsk, Solivgrad, Ulyavodsk, Ularatov, Arzatoust, Krasnoliky, and Minerovsk.

  • Tsar Wladomir (1505-1545)

The first Tsar of Rothenia was Tsar Wladomir. Before he became a Tsar, Wladomir was the Grand Prince of the Grand Principality of Timagron. His ambition and brutality led him to conquer all the surrounding Eastern Esradonian states. After Wladomir united all the states, he became known as Wladomir the Conqueror. Wladomir then proceeded to make Timagron tremendously wealthy by integrating more Timagronian fur into the Esradonian market. After consolidating more power, and expanding Timagron until the Gorok Mountains, Wladomir established the Empire of Rothenia in 1526. This makes Rothenia a relatively young nation in comparison to the other kingdoms and empires of today. The next 19 years of his reign were spent building the magnificent Autumn Palace, furthering Rothenian development (i.e. expanding the military, developing the economy, etc.), bettering infrastructure (this includes repairing destroyed structures), and extorting massive war reparations from conquered territories. This aided Wladomir in stabilizing the empire.

  • Tsar Leonid (1545-1571)

During Tsar Leonid's reign, Rothenia managed to develop and enhance the defensive capabilities of Rothenia. Leonid built many fortifications along the borders of Rothenia during the first phase of his reign. These fortifications were primarily built to defend against the rapidly expanding Muikha Empire, which dominated Central Orentia. Moreover, the most prominent Rothenian fortress was constructed, the Grand Citadel of Solivgrad. This citadel was built at the very center of the, at the time, capital city of Solivgrad. This massive citadel was meant to defend the capital city from foreign invasions and act as the primary seat of power for Leonid. The construction of the series of fortifications was finished in 1554, and in the same year, the next phase of Leonid's reign started. This new phase included an invasion of the Muikha Empire, which wasn't anticipated. The Muikhas managed to find a passageway through Rothenia's natural border, the Gorok Mountains, and attacked Rothenia. This led to a war between the two empires which lasted for 32 years. Due to this, Leonid's son, Hyacinth, would have to shoulder the burden of this war.

  • Tsar Hyacinth (1571-1613)

Unlike his predecessors, Tsar Hyacinth was less cruel and more merciful. He led the war against the Muikhas and ended it during 1586, finally putting an end to the wrath of the Muikha Empire. Hyacinth forced the Khan of Muikha to sign a treaty with Rothenia. In this treaty, no Muikian territory was ceded; however, a series of devastating tributary taxes were put on the Muikha Empire. This eventually led to Muikha's dissolution in 1590. Rothenia may have won the war, but it still suffered a great deal of casualties. For a feeling of gratitude and appreciation for the many soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Rothenia, Hyacinth offered compensation to families who had lost their loved ones. Additionally, he built more cities and roads. Rothenia's wealth increased and it developed more rapidly because of this. Hyacinth also replaced lords who failed to perform their duties properly or treated their serfs poorly. Arguably, the greatest thing that Hyacinth did was create the Imperial Council. This council was formed to assist the Tsar in government affairs and it was made up of the most talented nobles. With peace and prosperity at its fingertips, the empire flourished under Hyacinth's rule.

  • Tsar Mikhail (1613-1622)

Tsar Mikhail made a considerable amount of contributions to the welfare and prosperity of Rothenia, but he spent money quite carelessly in comparison to past and future Tsars. Right after taking the throne, Mikhail constructed the Spring and Summer Palaces. Alongside this, Mikhail tripled the amount of funding that was put into infrastructure, education, military, healthcare, and the economy. Many more schools, hospitals, and other types of utility buildings were constructed because of this. This may have seemed like a moral and righteous act that was initiated by the Tsar, but in the long run, it was not a sustainable decision. Moreover, even more opulent palaces and residences were constructed for Mikhail. Due to the sheer amount of money that was being spent, Mikhail almost emptied the Imperial Vault. Suspiciously, Mikhail fell ill (most probably poisoned) right after the news of the Imperial Vault being in a near empty state was announced to the nobles. After Mikhail's mysterious death, his son, Helias, was crowned.

  • Tsar Helias (1622-1659)

Tsar Helias was an enlightened Tsar who brought great prosperity and centralization to Rothenia, along with this, he made the empire exponentially larger. Helias's first course of action was decreasing the amount of funding that was put into infrastructure, education, healthcare, military, and the economy by about 10%. This allowed the Imperial Vault to make a quick recovery from Tsar Mikhail's erroneous decisions, but still enabled Rothenia to maintain a superb amount of developmental funding. Helias financed many expeditions to Northern Orentia/Etrionia. In 1647, Rothenia succeeded in exploring all of Etrionia and it was officially absorbed into the empire. Helias made drastic changes to the empire's government. Helias did this by restructuring the Imperial Council and splitting it into two separate parties. These parties were the Commoner and Noble Party. The Commoner Party represented the commoners while the Noble Party represented the nobles. The two parties had equal power and the Tsar would consider the ideas of the two parties to make constructive decisions for the empire. This system allowed both social classes of the empire to stay satisfied and the chances for rebellions to ensue were greatly reduced, as a result. Helias introduced a law where it was entirely legal for serfs to migrate to other territories if they weren't satisfied with the lordship of their lords. This law greatly increased the freedom of serfs. Additionally, he constructed the current capital city of Heliograd and many more cities and roads.

  • Tsar Alexei (1659-1707)

Tsar Alexei made major developments to the Rothenian military and Rothenia as a whole. Alexei expanded the army by reducing the minimum enlistment age from 21 to 18. This meant that fresh adults could serve the army. Additionally, Alexei expanded the navy by building more ships, introducing new ship models, and recruiting more sailors. Alexei also included more cannons in the Rothenian Army and made full use of gunpowder by mass-producing muskets after inheriting the finest blueprints from Castaire. Musket technology was modified and improved upon to match the combat style of Rothenia. Alexei invited Prussienian officers to train Rothenian soldiers. This made soldiers much more professional and westernized. Alexei collaborated with various other major Esradonian powers to improve other branches of the Rothenian Military at the same time. Alexei also introduced a law where clothing all the way to architecture had to match that of the Western World. Nobles had to wear western uniforms during court at all times and traditional Rothenian clothing was reserved for the commonfolk. Rothenian architecture was redesigned to mirror Esradonian Baroque Architecture. Though, since many structures were quite aged, architects realized that redesigning them from the ground-up would require an unnecessary amount of labor and would damage the architectural aspect of Rothenian culture. This hesitancy paved way to Rothenian Baroque Architecture, a mixture of the grandeur of Baroque Architecture and the flamboyance of customary Rothenian architecture. Last but not least, Alexei developed entirely unique Rothenian military uniforms that were given to soldiers after basic training. Before this, soldiers dawned outfits that they purchased and customized themselves, making them seem as if they were unprofessional mercenary soldiers. During the last years of Alexei's reign, he focused on drastically improving and reforming Rothenia's education, healthcare, and other public utilities to match and rival that of other major Esradonian powers.

  • Tsar Maxim (1707-1738)

Tsar Maxim, aka Maxim the Great, demonstrated Rothenian imperialism by establishing dominance over Northern Esradon, more commonly known as Laurenthenia. There was a war with Svarike and Frennmærk, aka the Great Laurenthenian War (1710-1721). This war resulted in a decisive Rothenian victory and Svarike and Frennmærk's Laurenthenian supremacy was seized at once. Additionally, Maxim started expropriating territories in Icraidia, this caused tensions with the Western Orentian Empire as the Sultan was suspecting that Rothenia would invade his empire. This led to a treaty that was signed between the two empires. The treaty stated that Rothenia couldn't make any advances towards Southern Icraidia and had to keep to Northern Icraidia. Maxim willingly agreed and signed the treaty. Maxim slowly started shifting his attention towards the New World, but he suffered from a fatal illness and perished. This allowed Maxim's son, Konstantin, to take the throne.

  • Tsar Konstantin (1738-current)

Tsar Konstantin is and was a very peaceful Tsar who prefers to keep adequate diplomatic relations with other monarchs. He is known to be a rather intimate Tsar. Konstantin has over 30 consorts (including Tsarina Elizabeth). This influx in consorts led to the Rasnianov Dynasty becoming quite large in comparison to other foreign dynasties. In honor of his father, Konstantin made the decision of launching the first Rothenian expedition to the New World in 1740. The expedition was a huge success and Rothenian colonies in New Etrionia were established.

Location and borders

The vast majority of Rothenia's citizens live in the Western Arm of the Empire, also known as "Esradonian Side of the Empire." Rothenia is bordered by Reikish territory when referring to the Western Arm. In terms of the Eastern Arm of the Empire, it's bordered primarily by the Shen Empire and a few other smaller territories in Central Orentia. The Two Arms of the Empire are divided by the Gorok Mountains, which act as a natural border and is the largest mountain range in Rothenia.

The climate in Rothenia varies primarily in three ways. The Western Arm of the Empire experiences humid continental climates with warm summers and cold winters. It is almost always extremely cold and harsh in the Eastern Arm of the Empire due to a subarctic climate. In the northernmost parts of the empire, the tundra climate makes it nearly inhabitable. Approximately 75% of Rothenia (east) is inhospitable and a mere 25% (west) is a rather "manageable" climate.

Rothenia's environment varies according to where you are. If you are located in the western parts of the empire, the environment will be quite pleasant. Flowers and trees are abundant during the summer months. Although, if you venture into the eastern parts of the empire, the winters are very harsh, making it difficult for plants to grow. Eastern Rothenia's harsh winters only allow certain types of plants to survive.

Almost half (49.6%) of Rothenia is covered in forests. The other half (50.4%) of Rothenia is covered in arable land, consistent pastures, cities, and villages. The majority of the cities are situated in the Western Arm of the empire, and the majority of the villages are situated in the eastern front. Despite Tsar Konstantin ordering the migration of all eastern inhabitants to the Western Arm, approximately 27% of Rothenian inhabitants live on the eastern front. There are a handful of trees that are found in Rothenia. The most common types of trees are fir, cedar, larch, pine, spruce, oak, beech, birch, and aspen. In the eastern front, pines, spruces, cedars, and larches seem to be the most common trees. Despite Rothenia's harsh climate, the fauna is abundant. It is home to lemmings, squirrels, chipmunks, voles, tigers, leopards, bears, wolves, lynxes, polecats, and many others. Usually, the larger predators (such as the world renowned Etrionian Bear) inhabit the eastern front and northern mountains.

The Empire of Rothenia is a massive land-based empire under an absolute monarchy. The Tsar/Tsarina is the head of the empire and has absolute power. He/she has the ability to freely make laws, change laws, and ultimately control any part of Rothenia and its government affairs. The empire has a constitution, the Imperial Consitution of Rothenia. The empire's constitution has all of the laws and ideals of Rothenia written down. It is preserved in a jeweled gold frame in the Winter Palace and is carefully protected by the Imperial Guard. To rule productively, the Tsar/Tsarina has his/her own advisor group called the the Imperial Council, which also houses the Commoner Party and Noble Party.

The Tsar/Tsarina rules Rothenia absolutely, and ruling such a large and continous empire is quite difficult. To assist him/her in ruling the immense vastness of the empire, an advisor group was instituted. This advisor group is the Imperial Council. The council is made up of the most powerful and educated nobles. About 100 years ago, the council was split into two parties, the Commoner Party and Noble Party. These two parties allow for both commoners and nobles alike to receive representation. The entire process works by having the two parties give the Tsar/Tsarina suggestions and ideas. After receiving these suggestions and ideas, the Tsar/Tsarina takes them into consideration and creates laws or decisions based on them.

Laws are passed by the Tsar/Tsarina using the Imperial Seal. Unpreferred laws can be overridden by the members of the Imperial Council. Though, this is only if a vote is initiated by one of the Heads of the Commoner or Noble Party. After laws are approved by the Tsar/Tsarina, they are distributed to scribes who update the Imperial Constitution and its copies. The people are then informed of the new law and are given guidance based on that.

Administrative divisions

Rothenia consists of smaller provinces or territories which are headed by lords. These territories are further split into serfdoms. Lords are then required to give a certain percentage of their yield to the Tsar/Tsarina. Though, these systems are only in place for Western Rothenia. Eastern Rothenia, on the other hand, has less divisions because of how difficult it is to govern. Nevertheless, lords are stationed in Eastern Rothenia to overlook the situation of the people. The eastern empire can't grow crops effectively. Since the east has many mines located in it, yield is primarily accumulated in the form of precious metals and gems. Heliograd serves as the capital city and principal seat of power for the Tsars of this era.

Foreign Relations

Foreign relations are normally connected with the Tsar. In other words, if the Tsar maintains adequate relations with the monarchs of foreign nations, the entirety of the countries will benefit. Foreign relations can also be forged through dynastic relations, which Rothenia has plenty of. As of now, relations with foreign nations are quite amicable, especially under the current Tsar, Konstantin.

  • Castaire

Relations with Castaire are sufficient. Numerous Tsarinas and Imperial Consorts have came from Castaire, thus boosting the relations even further. Additionally, Castaire is a major trade partner for Rothenia. Castaire normally sends food and supplies to Rothenia for the Tsar to distribute it to those who are suffering in the Eastern Arm of the Empire.

  • Cantoras

As for Cantoras and Rothenia's relationship, the two nations share an exceptional bond with one another. Trade with the two nations is sufficient and Rothenia normally sends scholars to Cantoras.

  • Svarike

Rothenia and Svarike do not have the best relationship. The King of Svarike is quite angered with Rothenia as the empire "snatched" his former Laurenthenian territories from Svarike. Nonetheless, Rothenia is not anticipating a Svarish invasion as it has been weakened far too greatly.

  • Frennmærk

Similar to Rothenian-Svarish relations, Frennmærk and Rothenian relations aren't the greatest. Frennmærk lost a fair amount of its former Laurenthenian territories to Rothenia. Thankfully, Frennmærk has stopped focusing so much on Laurenthenian supremacy and started focusing on the New World.

  • Shen Empire

The Shen Empire and Rothenia are major trade partners. Shen trades items such as porcelain and silk in exchange for items such as high-quality hides and Kartov Wine, a specialty in Rothenia. This close trade pact allows the two empires to grow in wealth together and maintain a beneficial bond.

  • Takagashi Shogunate

The Takagashi Shogunate practices strict isolationalism and this applies to Rothenia. Takagashi frequently trades with Rothenia, but with stern conditions. The main condition that most Esradonian countries are fearring about is the fact that trade cannot influence the culture of Takagashi. If a single speck of influence is uncovered, trade will be cut off and merchants will be punished. This is quite difficult as Esradonian clothing and culture is easy to spread. Rothenia takes this risk so that they can get access to Saki, one of Takagashi's specialties.

  • Narayani Empire

The Narayani Empire is another major Orentian trade partner for Rothenia. The Narayani Empire is the wealthiest nation in the continent due to its sheer number of precious metal and jewel mines. Rothenia makes sure to make full use of this and habitually trades with Narayani. The trade route to the Narayani Empire only opened up recently, and since then, Rothenia has had a magnanimous increase in wealth.

The Imperial Military of Rothenia is split into two parts, the Imperial Army and the Imperial Navy.

Imperial Army

The Imperial Army of Rothenia houses both infantry and cavalry. It consists of roughly 250,000 soldiers (200,000 infantry and 50,000 cavalry). Rothenia prefers to keep this number of soldiers during peaceful times as this amount of troops is easier to command. If needed, Rothenia can easily double or triple its forces to meet the needed quota. An example of this is the Great Laurenthenian War where Rothenia swiftly bolstered its forces to about 560,000 soldiers to challenge the combined numbers of the Frenno-Svarish Alliance. Also included within the Imperial Army is the Imperial Guard, an integral part of the army. There are about 15,000 Imperial Guards who are willing to risk their lives for the safety of the Imperial Family.

Imperial Navy

The Imperial Navy of Rothenia isn't as powerful as the Castairian or Escaloñian Navy per se; however, the Rothenian Navy is strong enough to safeguard the empire's shores. Rothenia currently has a total of 136 ships under its disposal. There are 34 warships and 10 frigates, which are the prime vessels. The rest are smaller ships that are meant for jobs such as reconnaissance and cargo transportation. The Marines are also housed in the navy. They are present on each and every ship. The Imperial Marines of Rothenia number at about 7,000 adept soldiers.

The innovation of Rothenia varies in the Western and Eastern Arms of the Empire. Western Rothenia has become quite enlightened, especially because of Rothenian Westernization. However, Eastern Rothenia has yet to claim that status. The ways of the Eastern Rothenian peoples are still quite backwards. It can be safely stated that enlightenment cannot spread to every corner of Rothenia due to its gargantuan size. Despite these apparent downsides, Rothenia is an agricultural behemoth. It produces more crops than any Esradonian nation. Though, these crops are poorly distributed in Eastern Rothenia. Therefore, foreign nations, such as Castaire, assist Rothenia in distributing rations and supplies to those who live in the Eastern Rothenia. The empire is working hard on rapidly developing and Westernizing Rothenia to the fullest extent, which the empire is excelling at due to the sheer amount of patriotism that is present within the people.

Rothenian infrastructure, the western side at least, is roughly on par with other major Esradonian powers. This is mainly due to the initiative taken by Tsars to Westernize Rothenia. The quality of infrastructure varies between the Two Arms of the Empire. Most cities are located in the Western Arm and showcase the impressiveness of Rothenian Baroque Architecture. The Eastern Arm of Rothenia, does not have many cities, despite its huge size. The cities that are situated in the Eastern Arm tend to be much less Westernized and are generally poorly maintained. The Eastern Arm is primarily scattered with villages. The common people who live in Eastern Rothenian cities and villages live with many difficulties. Nonetheless, the Tsar is working tirelessly to find ways to improve the lives of those who are suffering in the Eastern Arm, it is just going to be a matter of time.

Rothenian exports are normally seen to be quite valuable. Products such as flax, hemp, wheat, wine, sugar, leather, furs, hides, cloth, and by far the most important export in Rothenia's economy, crude iron, are exported to other nations. There are a series of famished nations in Reikenland. Rothenia normally sends provisions to these nations in exchange for money. Western Rothenia also happens to be filled with iron; therefore, it is understandable that Rothenia prefers to have crude iron as one of its most important exports. Precious metals and gemstones are exported as well, though, in comparatively lower quantities.

Untapped Potential

Rothenia, the Etrionia region, more specifically, is astoundingly rich in natural resources. There are near unlimited amounts of precious metals and gemstones that are waiting to be mined out. Yet, Rothenia is unable to make full use of this colossal amount of natural resources, since the Tsar and the Imperial Council is unaware of this surplus of resources. This is due to the climate of Etrionia being harsh and most miners that are assigned to Etrionian mines immediately resign, entirely negating the option for hosting large-scale mining operations. The few miners that are situated in Etrionia are stacked with heavy fur clothing, making the task even harder than it should be, not to mention many of them freeze to death.

Western Rothenian people primarily follow Orthodox Cadrielism (85% of the population), a branch of Cadrielism that is a little different from the "normal" branch of Cadrielism. Eastern Rothenian people have largely been converted to Orthodox Cadrielism, but many of them still follow shamanistic religions (15% of the population).

The predominant language of Rothenia is Rothenian. There are various versions of Rothenian that are created through a blending of Etrionian languages and Rothenian. These old Etrionian languages were mainly left by the Muikha Empire.

The education of Rothenia is swiftly improving thanks to the efforts of Tsars. Scholars are encouraged to travel to other nations. Most people in Western Rothenia know how to read and write. Standard education lasts from age 7 to 14 and extra scholarly pursuits or interests would extend that timeframe to age 21. There are, of course, important exams that determine the outcome of the student's career path. Nonetheless, study material is readily available to students that really want to get to where they want to go. Academic success is still weighted towards the nobility, but if commoner students work hard enough, they will be recognized and given extra opportunities. Most of Eastern Rothenia does not know how to read and write. Eastern Rothenian people prefer to stick to their own culture and learning practices. As a whole, even though improvements can be made, Rothenia is doing an exceptional job in its scholarly field and will continue to do so as more Tsars recognize the importance of education.

As Rothenia Westernized, healthcare started to greatly improve. There are hospitals that are present within all cities. Doctors can be afforded by commoners and nobles alike. On the contrary, many of those who live in Eastern Rothenia have the wrong misconception that shamans can cure illnesses and such. Additionally, most doctors live in Western Rothenia and are not willing to operate in the cold and harsh Etrionia. Hence, common Eastern Rothenians largely have to deal with illnesses themselves, with little medical assistance. Those who urgently need medical assistance normally travel to the nearest cities to get in touch with doctors, but Eastern Rothenians are not too fond of "modern medical care."

Magic is widespread within Rothenia. Higher classes of magic are reserved for the Imperiality, Nobility, and Clergy. Lower classes of magic are reserved for the commonfolk. Luckily, Commoners can afford most basic magical products, such as healing potions, which appreciably aid them in their daily lives. The importance of magic was further emphasized by Tsar Alexei. He introduced the House of Magicians in 1699. It was created to have a formally recognized community with magical abilities that would aid Rothenia in making strides in magical knowledge. Since then, many magicians have joined (and are continuing to join) the House of Magicians. Magicians are formally recognized through schools and universities. After being formally recognized, magicians are put into special classes that give them supplementary education for them to learn more about their personal magical abilities and magic, in general. These classes are situated within schools and universities, but are separated from the "normal" classes. After education is complete, magicians are accepted into the House of Magicians. The Tsar and the Imperial Council suspect that there are still many people in Eastern Rothenia that have magical abilities (interesting ones especially), but haven't been formally recognized yet.

Before the efforts of recent Tsars, Classical Rothenian Architecture was the predominant architectural style. This type of architecture was classified by its radiant use of colors. Moreover, "onion-shaped" domes (or normal domes) were a major architectural feature for Classical Rothenian Architecture. Due to the efforts of recent Tsars, Rothenian Baroque Architecture was created and implemented into buildings; hence, becoming the predominant architectural style. Rothenian Baroque Architecture is a unique blend of architectures. It includes the domes and vibrant colors of Classical Rothenian Architecture, but also includes the pillars, opulence (heavy amounts of gilding, more specifically), and windows of Baroque Architecture.

The most important national holiday in Rothenia is the Birth of the Empire. This holiday commemorates the creation of the Rothenian Empire, which took place in the 12th of Venteux, 1526. This holiday is mainly celebrated by Western Rothenians. There are grand parades, free food that is handed out, and an increased amount of religious activities.

Another one of Rothenia's national holidays is the Tsar/Tsarina's birthday. This holiday does not need to be celebrated, but the people of Rothenia prefer to do so. Unlike the Birth of the Empire, both Western and Eastern Rothenians celebrate this holiday. Eastern Rothenians celebrate this holiday by having their shamans "bless" the Tsar/Tsarina. Western Rothenians celebrate the holiday similarly, and this is by performing various religious prayers and rituals to honor the Tsar/Tsarina. As a sign of indebtedness for all the people who praised or honored him or her, it is a tradition for the Tsar/Tsarina to personally distribute pouches of gold coins and gems to people in the capital city.

The most salient symbol for Rothenia is its double-headed golden eagle, which symbolizes Rothenian continuity. This symbol acts as the Imperial Emblem of Rothenia and is included in the Coat of Arms as well. The Imperial Seal also uses the double-headed golden eagle. Another important symbol for Rothenia is the Man on his Horse. This man is present on the center of the Coat of Arms. The man himself is a soldier, representing Rothenia's military. In his hand he holds a sword, which he raises high above his head. This represents Rothenian conquest. One can also analyze that the man is on a horse, which represents Rothenian determination for forging a greater empire.

The foremost artifact of Rothenia is the Imperial Crown of Rothenia itself, which illustrates the absolute power of the Tsars of Rothenia. This splendid crown features a gold structure and is shaped in three arches that go over a green velvet cap. These three arches are embellished with over 5,000 diamonds and 100 pearls. The diamonds are patterned in various intricate shapes. The pearls are seated at the edge of the arches. At the very top of the central arch sits a large oval-shaped emerald gemstone, encased in diamonds, and the Cross of Cadriel, also made of diamonds. The exact amount of power that the Imperial Crown is unknown at the moment. One eye witness account talks about a noble quickly taking out a dagger to assassinate the Tsar while he was on his throne, but the Imperial Crown seemed to have summoned a barrier around the Tsar. The Tsar took this moment to kill the noble with his sword. Based on other eye witness accounts and descriptions in numerous manuscripts, it can be inferred that the Imperial Crown holds much more power that just shielding the Tsar from unanticipated attacks.

  • Rothenia is heavily inspired by the Russian Empire. Everything from the size all the way down to history is based off of the Russian Empire.
