Kingdom of Escaloña

Escaloña officially, the kingdom of Escaloña and it's oversea territories(Escaloñian: Reino de Escaloña y sus terrerios de ultramar), (pronunciation Ray-no de Es-ka-lo-yah e soo-s tear-ear-eyo ulramar or short Es-ka-lo-yah) is a nation located in the south western part of Esradon with 37,07 million inhabitants as of Neigouze 1760 and mainland Escaloña has a surface area of 489.056 km², but combined with their terriories overseas they have a surface area around 8 million km². The nation is made up of mainland Escaloña, which consists of 80% of the Belrida Peninsula, two island groups, one in the Midland Sea and one just of the Aphrina coastline in the Archonic Ocean and it's oversea territories. The mainland of Escaloña is in he north bordered by Castaire and to the south west by Portamundo and the Midland Sea to the east, the Bay of Gallius to the north west and to the mid-west bordered by the Archonic Ocean. Apart from the mainland, Escaloña has the island groups of Lepusaria (Atchipiélago de Lepusaria) in the Midland Sea and Aveminsular (Islas de Aveminsular) in the Archonic Ocean. The oversea territorries are consisting of the colonized nations of Terradoria, Bespidora, Solterra, Brureyo and Augmaria in the continent of Borcalia and the islands of Nuevo Escaloña and Pozarbo.

Belridian cultures devoloped along with ancient Mahirtosian, an ancient Aphrinian culture, early Cantorian, early Ventaliccian and Galliusian settlements on the peninsula until it came under rule of the Piglin King, Nocturiel's underling. For nearly a century the peninsula was conquered by the Piglin forces. Until a magic user by the name of Marino under guidance of the angels drove away the evil forces and banished them to the Nether. This awarded him sainthood and his birth town was renamed Santo Marino. However the aftermath of this war against evil had most lands to be taken by the Gotheria Empire. The occupation by the Gotheria Empire lasted until the early 14th century, in which a unified Escaloña under the Cadrielist Monarchs led by king Fernando of Santicadrel and queen Celestina of Madregrial began the reclamation movement. After being freed from the Gotheria Empire these smaller kingdoms united back to Escaloña. The two largest regions were unified by marriage. After the reclamation and further unification, the Escaloñians began setting their sights on sailing beyond the known waters, even funding a fleet for the explorer sir Raul Borzal; who discovered the southern half of the "New World". His discovery of that "New World" has allowed more ships to set sail for conquest of new lands. And in just a few centuries Escaloña has expanded into a major global power thanks to their colonies in Borcalia.

Etymology

Escaloña derives from escalera and lona, these twords indicating their roots and ambition for sailing and exploring the seas as they contracted "steps to sailcloth" together.

oversea territorries

The oversea territorries of Borcalia contain a variety of landscapes, such as mountainous terrains, deserts and badlands, as well as dense jungle areas. Due to these condition a lot of land is not inhabitated by people.

biodeversity

The fauna contains a wide variety of animals, from ones native  to mainland Escaloña like pigs, cows, wolves, cats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, foxes, horses and donkeys to imported animals from the colonial territories like llamas, ocelots and parrots. The waters of Archonic Ocean, just of the coast, contains a variety of colorful tropical fish, pufferfish, salmon, squids, turtles and dolphins, the Midland Sea conains a variety of tropical fish, squids, turtles and pufferfishes. The rivers contain mostly cod, though when salmons are ready to mate they tend to swim in the rivers upstream to lay their roe. There are also a few different insects consisting of (ender)mites, silverfish and bees.

Most flora consists of large forest areas. Though deciduous trees like birch and oak make up most of the trees, there are also a few pine forests on the mainland. Aside from trees, Escaloña also has a wide variety of flowers.

 Escaloña is a parliamentary monarchy with king Alejandro IV as the head of state, supported by his royal council who are divided in the ministries that govern the affairs of state assigned to these offices. The Chaplain of the Royal Family (capellán real) governs the ministry of religious affairs and magic, the Grandmaster of Arms (gran maestro de armada) governs the ministry of war and defense and is led by Hernando Peralta, High Steward of Escaloña ((lord) mayordomo grande) governs the ministry of domestic affairs and is led by Lucas Mauregato , Herald Captain of Escaloña(capitan heraldo) governs the ministry of foreign affairs and is led by Esqivel de la Silva, Vicar Soberano Ultramar governs the ministry of oversea terrotories and is led by Arias Alvarez, Treasurer (tesorero) governs the ministry of finances: Graviel Vasques and the positions of Royal secretary (secretario real) which is held by Simon de Dicastillo and of Viceroy, the king's younger brother Aurelio Manuel de Alboran

Since queen Matelda was a noble from Ventalicci they tend to have good bonds. Aside from that, they have a decent trade route between them, as they both are nations in the Midland Sea.

Most of the population are Cadrielists. In coastal towns the people tend to favor the angel of water Fleuviel. And the ones in the mountainous regions tend to favor either the angel of earth Harahel or the angel of air Venerion. In major cities inland the angel of humanity Archon is more favored.

language

The official language of Escaloñia is Escaloñian, and most people speak it. Though there are people in the border region that speak aside from Escaloñian also Castairian and coastal regions on the east side due to trading with Ventalicci Ventaliccian.
